Isn’t the Humphrey’s place in Brooklyn, New York though? Correct!

A man named, Elliot Joseph owns many properties in New York; he rents them out for upcoming movies and Telivision shows, like Gossip Girl!

He has so far made hundreds of thousands in this buisiness. He gets an income of five hundred dollars for a speedy outside shot of his properties and up to ten thousand dollars a day for a “large-scale shoot”. Elliot Josephs only important necessity for who comes into his properties is that he has to feel comfortable with who he is working with.

Have you ever noticed that the Humphrey’s loft up in Brooklyn was atcually an ice-cream factorry in Long Island City? Well it was! Gossip Girl pays around five thousand dollars a day to shoot in this converted ice-cream shop. This property is owned by a woman named Allison du Val, who actually lives in the loft! She owns many other places that she rents out; like the “Kiss on the Lips” party in the season premiere.

When people’s homes are rented out they are expected to come back to a changed home. The crews change around all the furniture and leave cables and lights everywhere. Even though this always happens to Allison du Val, she thinks it is exciting and doesn’t care if she has to wake up at six in the morning and get to bed by one in the morning. Her property is also rented out for Gossip Girl’s music video’s (for ten thousand dollars, ten hours). She says, “You can rent out the same space over and over.”

Allison du Val loves the adventure and (duh) the income.
